| The history of the Camalou gentleman's house goes back to the 18th Ventury, when it was part of a castle owned by the Malou family. Later it was used as a brewery. During WW I, the brewing kettles were used as a bath, since the block served as a bathing house, delousing station, first aid post and headquarters of an English brigade. |
|
The castle was partly destroyed during the war, but the house's charm was untouched. Situated near Dikkebus Lake, Camalou is a peacefull resort. The lovely garden invites you to enjoy a game of jeu de boules or a glass of the traditional Camalou beer, brewed especially for the house. |
