The history of the Camalou gentleman's house goes back to the 18th Ventury, when it was part of a castle owned by the Malou family. Later it was used as a brewery. During WW I, the brewing kettles were used as a bath, since the block served as a bathing house, delousing station, first aid post and headquarters of an English brigade.

The castle was partly destroyed during the war, but the house's charm was untouched. Situated near Dikkebus Lake, Camalou is a peacefull resort. The lovely garden invites you to enjoy a game of jeu de boules or a glass of the traditional Camalou beer, brewed especially for the house.
The "Rose" and "Poppy" room are decorated tastefully in Louis Philippe-style with attention for details. Aseparate bathroom, toilet and television are at your disposal. In Camalou, the day is started with a breakfast buffet consisting of local delicacies, served in a comfortable lounge.
